The Leadership and Mentorship Program was created as part of a continuing effort to help students feel connected to the campus and local community. In order to create strong relationships between students and faculty, a mentoring program has been established with leadership seminars that serve as the cornerstone for the program. The University of Texas at Brownsville wants students to grow and develop personally and academically throughout their entire academic experience.
